Veterinarians


Heather Mosher, BSc., DVM

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine

Dr. Heather Mosher was born and raised in Dartmouth, NS.  She attended the Nova Scotia Agricultural College where she received a Bachelor of Animal Science.  She continued her studies at the Atlantic Veterinary College (University of PEI) where she acquired her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine.  She worked in Rothesay, NB, for eight years prior to moving back to Halifax Regional Municipality.  She enjoys training and participating in triathlons.  She has completed numerous sprint and Olympic distance triathlons and two half Ironman triathlons.  She recently completed her first Ironman triathlon.  She now lives in the Tantallon area with her husband David Allan, their daughter Anne, their two cats (Fezzy and Cadence), and their labrador retriever (Lisa).


Karen Gormley, BSc., MSc., DVM
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine

Dr. Karen Gormley grew up just outside of Charlottetown, PEI.  She attended the University of Prince Edward Island where she received her Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Biology, as well as her Masters of Science in Biology.  She continued schooling at the University of New Brunswick for two years before moving back to Charlottetown to attend the Atlantic Veterinary College, where she received her Doctor of Veterinary  Medicine.  She now lives in Stillwater Lake with her husband, Kevin, their son, Declan, their cat (Delia), and two dogs (Reuben and Phoebe).

Dr. William Huttges was born in St. Martins, NB and raised in Quispamsis, NB. In 2008 he graduated from The University of New Brunswick with a Bachelor of Science with Honors in Biochemistry. In 2012 he graduated from The Atlantic Veterinary College in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island where he received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. He enjoys squash, hockey, football and baseball. He now lives in Clayton Park with his Cats Madison and Hampton. 

                                        Deanie Parks, DVM
                                        Doctor of Veterinary Medicine

                                     Dr. Deanie Parks grew up in Guelph, ON. She graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College in 1988. Deanie worked for two years at the Fairview Animal Hospital in Halifax before opening the Queensland Animal Hospital in Hubbards, NS in 1990. She currently owns a small animal clinic at her home in Blandford, NS. Deanie has raised rabbits since 1978 and is very active in 4H with her two children, Murray and Lisa. She has a small farm at her home with horses, sheep, rabbits, chickens, cats, dogs, and guinea pigs.

Deidra Puff, RVT
Registered Veterinary Technician

Deidra was born in Ottawa, Ont., and rasied in Quipamsis, NB. She has 12 years experience working in the veterinary field.  She attended the Nova Scotia Agricultural College where she received her diploma in Veterinary Technology.  She now resides in Boutilier's Point with her weimaraner (Slater).

Bobbi Mosher, BA (Soc)
Veterinary Assistant

Bobbi is a resident of Chester, NS.  She has a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from St. F.X.,as well as a diploma in Community Services and a diploma in Business Administration both from NSCC.  Bobbi is also the proud  owner of a cat named Pretty Boy.

Nicole grew up on the South Shore. She has a dipolma in Hospitality from the NSCC Lunenburg Campus. Nicole has 20 years experience working with the general public  She now resides in Tantallon with her family and special kitty, Bella .

David Allan
Owner/Business Manager

David Allan is the hospital owner/business manager and Dr. Mosher's husband.  He trains and competes in triathlons and especially enjoys walking and retrieving with his labrador retriever (Lisa).  David resides in the Tantallon area with Heather, their daughter, Anne, and their pets.
