The VeterinarianDr. Neil Boulton has been a veterinarian for over 30 years. Trained in Liverpool, England, he spent his first five years in a busy practice in Cantebury. Subsequently, he and his new wife Carole immigrated to Canada where he eventually owned a successful small animal practice in the Leeside/Rosedale area of Toronto. He then moved to Victoria with his young family where he took over the Brentwood Bay Veterinary Hospital in 1995. He specializes in small animal care with an emphasis on nutrition and preventive medicine.
The Treatment AreaThe treatment area is where we perform many of our outpatient procedures. It is where we treat conditions such as bite wounds and urinary problems. It is also where our in-house laboratory is located and where patients are prepared for surgery. All our dental procedures are performed in the treatment area. Jessica has been a part of the Brentwood Bay Veterinary team for 14 years. She has a degree in biochemistry from the University of Saskatoon where she also spent time at the Veterinary College. After returning to Victoria to start her family, she happily re-joined our facility as a technition/veterinary assistant.
The Surgical AreaThe Brentwood Bay Veterinary Hospital has a modern surgical theater equipped to provide safe and comfortable anesthetics for your pet. When operating on any animal, it is important to have careful anesthetic monitoring and attentive pre and post surigcal care.
Meghan is our Veterinary Asisstant who is also currently a student at the University of Victoria. She is hoping to become a veterinarian herself one day but for the time being is enjoying being a part of our team.
The Reception AreaOur reception area is where our pharmacy is located as well as our line of veterinary recommended diets. We carry Medi-Cal, RC, and Hill's but our most popular diet by far is the Medi-Cal diet. Proper nutrition is very important to us as we believe it is a major contributing factor in your pet's qualitiy of life. You will also find dental care products, shampoos, vitamins, and flea prevention products in our reception area. Any product can be specially ordered for you, so please ask any of our staff for help if you cannot find something you require.
Tina is the newest member of our group. With her training as a medical office assistant, she will be able to help you in finding whatever you may need for your furry friend. Please join us in welcoming Tina to our team.
